as part of the Scenarios Forum 2019: Forum on Scenarios for Climate and Societal Futures
March 11-13, 2019
University of Denver, Denver, Colorado
The sessions will have only 4-5 speakers´ presentations (20 min/speaker) and the rest will be posters; there will be 40 sessions. The deadline for abstract submission is September 28, 2018.
Session 31: Climate change scenarios in CORDEX domains
This session focuses on integrated regional climate change scenarios for the Coordinated Regional Downscaling Experiment (CORDEX) domains, considering both physical processes and socioeconomic trajectories that describe the future changes unfolding in these regions. On the one hand, the session seeks presentations on multi-model ensembles, global and regional models intercomparisons, and climate change scenarios based on different Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) using dynamical or statistical downscaling techniques. Climate change studies under different scenarios focused on physical processes characteristic of the regions, trends, extreme events, and detection and attribution are encouraged. On the other hand, studies exploring the coherence between global and regional Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs), identification of storyline elements, and evaluation of RCP scenarios or SSPs for integrated climate change impacts and adaptation studies in CORDEX domains are also welcome.
